Harrison Clark: Sonic Explorer, Storyteller, Visionary.

In the ever-evolving landscape of Seattle's music scene, Harrison Clark stands as a beacon of artistic versatility and storytelling. Blurring the boundaries between free improvisation, minimal house, and theatrical composition, Harrison crafts sonic experiences that challenge, move, and transform listeners.

At the heart of Harrison's work lies a commitment to addressing our most pressing social realities through sound. Alongside creative partner Ben Mizrach, he brought to life Almanac—a powerful stage musical confronting police violence on a predominantly white college campus—which debuted to a captivated sold-out audience in Somerville, MA in fall 2021.

The artistic partnership between Harrison and Ben flourished further during their Kennedy Center residency in December 2023, where they developed the stirring live album Orbiting Lovers & Contraband. This evolution of Almanac's universe dives deep into the journey of self-love and the obstacles we face in its pursuit, brought to life through an ensemble of extraordinary musicians.

Harrison's voice extends beyond his compositions, serving as the vocal conscience of FUGITIVE—an NYC-based experimental jazz/hip-hop collective led by pianist Jonathan Paik. Their artistic journey was captured in the tour documentary A Work of Fiction, released in fall 2024.

Currently channeling his talents through a CityArtist grant, Harrison is crafting a solo project that speaks to our precarious existence in the Pacific Northwest. This haunting work weaves together Seattle's iconic sounds to reflect on our region's vulnerability to natural disaster and displacement—a meditation on what it means to build lives and art at the edge of potential catastrophe.

In a world clamoring for authentic voices, Harrison Clark reminds us of music's power to confront reality while offering us new ways to imagine our future together.
